Music Choice

so it has come to my attention that many editors of this new day and age feel as though that certain genres of music are not good for editing purpose. i'd like to kno if that mindset pertains to any of u. i dont mean the obvious genres like polka or country or some shit. im asking a serious question and i want serious answers. if u think that a video made with a certain type of music automatically brings down the quality of the video itself or automatically makes any other video with a different genre better, please speak up and share ur thoughts. the genres that i noticed receive the most criticism are dubstep, rap, and heavy metal or what some of u may call "screamo"

Everyone has different taste in music.. honestly there are no songs that cannot be edited. It's true that some genres are more favorable and popular than the others though. Maybe because they are a lot easier to edit to? Probably. If people like listening'n edit to music with emotionally-filled lyrics, then go ahead! If they want to listen'n edit to robotic music, then go ahead!

You should edit to whatever you want to, I don't see why you wouldn't if it's your passion. It's like "I don't want to edit to my favorite genre of music because people don't like it". Now that's what I call BULLSHIT. I do not see why anyone would care whether someone likes it or not. If someone doesn't like it then it's their problem, there will always be someone that will enjoy it. There is something people will have to learn that not everyone likes the same thing you do. If you hear anyone say anything about your video just because of the song reference then just ignore them, it's not like it will hurt you or anything.
