just wanted to post this here for the possibility of more views and feedback. keep in mind that this is an entire year old while critiquing. youtube also managed to ruin my quality so make sure to watch in hd. and i hope everyones having a happy new year so far!

I enjoyed this, was different.
good sync both internal and external, overlays bugged me a little just because you had some covering the black spaces which just looked abit nooby :3

i was debating on whether or not to take those out but i thought leaving them in might add a bit more a dark feel to the video. now i kno i should've went with my first instinct lol thanx alot i appreciate it.

Not bad, though the overlays and some of the shakes kind of turned me off and its a bit messy in general ;o but atmosphere-wise was nice like i said not bad

thanx. im not sure if the title made this obvious or if u could hear the lyrics well enuf but the video and song are talking about being drunk and high out of ur mind. the overlays and blurs were supposed to create a since of blurriness as if u were looking at the video while drunk. i kinda wanted certain parts to look too messy to be completely visible purposefully. so i guess i hit my mark? lol

Should have concentrated on a storyline. I didn't like the shake things. The overlays were pretty much used in the wrong place or shouldn't have ever used them. The scene selections didn't feel right at times. Lastly the effects made it interesting in the beginning.

i'm not sure if u can hear the lyrics of the song well or not but im assuming u can't becuz if u could u'd be able to more clearly recognize the storyline being told and much of the lyric sync that was done in the video. i actually did spend much time focusing on scene selection to work on a story for this. but as u said, perhaps the shakes and effect may have been too distracting from the storyline itself in some parts. ur criticism is very appreciated. thanx

I didn't like it, the synch is ok but the overlays, the shakes and the random scenes selection makes the video not good. And that ending D: so abrupt. I council you to make a more clean video without fades and with a correct use of overlays.

the video is unfinished. there was an unrendered extension to the video that i lost. thats why the ending seems so abrupt. but as for the other things u said i think u have a point. i did alot of thought into the scene selection to make a story out of it and i did alot of lyric sync. but u werent the only one that had trouble noticing becuz u were too focused on the very harsh effects and overlays. apparently i tried to mix two ideas together that contradicted.

u didnt fix the part i told u to the fix in the beginning. it still looks okay, but i think u shouldve fixed it. also i think u shouldve specified that this was an "old" edit from like a whole year ago, i know u did but i mean in here cuz these guys are rippin u a new one about those overlays lol

as for the scene selections, others say it didnt have a story but i get the story u were trying to portray maybe its becuz i actually know the song and im used to the weeknd so i get the style of music he does. so it fit to me, in that aspect.

the overlays were good in the beginning, just a few parts where i felt it wasnt necessary. like at the part wit tsubasa near the end. was sloppy but i know this was an old edit and i see u didnt make those changes u talked about. so i wont fault u there.

the shakes were good to me, it only looked weird becuz of the AR and thats just how bakemonogatari looks, cant help that.

of course i liked the song, im the one who showed it to u lol but i never seen anyone use the weeknd, especially not like this. and u know how i feel about originality. it was good man. considering its a whole year old.

i did point out that it was old lol i guess u among others just overlooked it. but thanx man if the project file for this was never lost i dont think anyone would have as many complaints becuz most of the problems they pointed out wouldve been solved. with more of the song i could've actually FINISHED the story i wanted to tell. i could've went back and cleaned up alot of the effects and overlays i did. and yea i thought that the story would be easy to notice. i'm not sure whether it was becuz they could'nt hear the lyrics and weather the somewhat cluttered overlays just distracted their focus from the story. if one or many of u could specify which of the two it is i'd love to hear ur opinion. the story IS there, what distracted u guys from noticing it?

naw honestly, i just didnt read it, cuz i mean why would i? i already know everything u have to say about this video lol

and maybe what it was about the story, was that it didnt follow the story of bake itself, u mightve threw them off when u were creating ur own interpretation?
just a guess.
